The tolerance classes in brackets should be selected for very heavily loaded bearings. If selected, be sure that the residual operating clearance is sufficient for proper performance of the bearing or whether a bearing with larger clearance must be used.
  1. 1) All ISO tolerance classes are valid with the envelope requirement (such as h7) in accordance with ISO 14405-1:2010.
  2. 2) These recommendations do not apply to bearings in the GEG series, which have a bore diameter tolerance class to H7 and are normally mounted on shaft seats machined to tolerance class m7. If, for mounting reasons, the shaft is machined to tolerance class f7, it should be hardened as movements of the shaft relative to the bearing bore take place and wear may result.
